Policies

Formal Conduct Policy

Scope and expected behavior

Delegates, staff, and dais members are all subject to this policy without exception.

The occurrence of disrespect directed at an individual or group will be taken seriously and evaluated for potential blacklisting. Any form of behavior that is disrespectful may result in consequences, including removing the perpetrator from the conference at any time.

Disrespect towards staff is considered the highest and most severe violation and carries the biggest risk. Targeting others, no matter the role, for personal reasons will also be subject to strict review. Dais members found to engage in such behavior will be held to the same standard. If you are related to the issue in terms of victim, bystander, or perpetrator, you will be evaluated for your actions.

Discipline and outcomes

Serious violations may result in actions such as contacting your school's principal or dean, and if necessary, your family.

General rudeness or disrespect, depending on the intent and severity, may also lead to disciplinary action and negatively impact your standing at the conference and your status as a delegate, dais member, or staff.

Reporting and review process

Any reports given through our forms linked below will be handled discreetly, with zero intent of revealing the reporter. If you or someone you know is being hurt mentally, physically, or in any way, or disrespected, you are encouraged to report or to talk to someone you can trust to inform the board, such as the Head of Delegate Affairs, Head of Staff Coordination/Volunteers, or the Secretary-General. Other board members are also available. Do not feel discouraged from speaking out and raising your voice if toxicity is present. Modun is made to be for all, and toxicity is not one of them.

Unfortunately, not all reports will result in consequences, depending on context or severity. Apologies in advance if the outcome of any situation, based on your role, is not to your liking. Also, reporting another for a reason not stated, or making a report to hurt another when they did nothing, will result in the reporter being evaluated for their decisions.

This serves as a warning to all.

AI Policy

Usage expectations

The usage of AI for research is permitted; however, the use of AI for plagiarism is strictly prohibited.

Plagiarism itself is not considered a blacklist violation; however, the use of AI to give out any information in any shape or form will result in the dais team not considering you for awards.

Citing sources is required when using another’s words. You must clearly state that the material is not yours.

The use of AI during committee sessions is not permitted. If suspected, staff or dais have the right to confiscate and review your device and/or notes. Results could result in consequences.

Any misuse of AI will be reviewed, and outcomes depend on the context.

With staff and dais watching every second and listening to all, it is personally advised not to be stupid.
